P.1 PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to establish procedures, responsibilities, and guidelines for the identification, maintenance and protection of NASA Headquarters vital records, regardless of format. These requirements and guiding principles are designed to establish a vital records program that adheres to emergency management responsibilities in accordance with NASA Policy Requirement 1040.1, NASA Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning Procedures.

 

P.2 APPLICABILITY

This is applicable to NASA Headquarters organizations.
