CHAPTER 4. NASA IRB Convening Authority

Meetings shall be convened by the Chairperson of the IRB on a regular basis or when a request is made by the Chief Health and Medical Officer (CHMO), NASA HQ; a spaceflight Mission Manager; a NASA Center Director; or a test subject to evaluate a research protocol which may affect the health or well-being of participating human subject(s).
